Privacy notice

This notice explains what Buyerful does with personal information. Buyerful is a trading name of Elliott Lee, a sole trader based in England, who is the controller of this information. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Questions go to support@buyerful.app.

Our customers

When you sign up we keep your name, business name, email address, billing details handled by our payment provider, your answers to our questions and the emails we exchange. We use them to run the service, bill you and stay in touch about your account. Our lawful basis is the contract with you.

Businesses we contact

To run outreach for our customers we use business contact details that are publicly available, such as a business's name, website, phone number and business email address, and sometimes the name of the person who runs it. We use them to contact the business once about our customer's offer, and to pass any reply to that customer. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: business-to-business introductions that the business can easily decline.

Do-not-contact list

If anyone asks us not to contact them again, we add their details to our do-not-contact list and keep them there permanently, so they're never contacted again by us for any customer. We keep only what we need to recognise them.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information. Details go to the delivery partners we use to run the service: our payment provider, the companies that host our website, email and records, and the partners that deliver our outreach. They act only on our instructions. When a business replies, its reply and contact details go to the customer it was meant for. Some partners may store data outside the UK, in which case we rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our web server keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure.

How long we keep it

Customer records are kept while you're a customer and for up to 6 years after, for tax and legal reasons. Outreach records are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. The do-not-contact list is kept permanently.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us never to contact you. Email support@buyerful.app (write now) and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
